1          We live in an integrated global food, farm fuel & fiber system
 
2          Food Is global but food safety Is local
 
3          The global food and farm system more closely resembles a living organism      than it does a machine
 
4          The System is increasingly aware of itself
 
5            Profitability and Sustainability are not exclusive they are inextricably linked
