It's time to gear up for my absolute favorite event--The 2012 Chicago Farmers Farmland Investment Fair. This year's Fair should be a great opportunity to learn about investing and owning farmland--two topics which are certainly near and dear to my heart.

CHICAGO FARMERS HOSTING ANNUAL FARMLAND INVESTMENT FAIR
The Chicago Farmers announces that it will be hosting its annual Farmland Investment Fair on February 4, 2012. The Fair will be held at the Weitendorf Agriculture Education Center on Laraway Road in Joliet, Illinois.
This year’s Fair will feature a diverse blend of exhibitors which will include agriculture producers, farm real estate brokers, marketing specialists, recreational land brokers, and many other categories related to farmland investment.
13 educational seminar topics will also be featured throughout the day.
Sessions offered at the Fair include:
- 1031 Exchanges
- Brazil: Present and Future Outlook
- Custom Farm Leasing
- Land Values
- Remote Sensing
- Evolving Biomass Markets from Home to Industry
- Wind & Solar Energy
- Biomass: Your Third Crop
- Conservation Solutions with Ecological and Production Benefits for the Farm
- Three Possible Paths to Profit in Local & Organic Farmland
- Condemnation & Eminent Domain
- Investing in Farmland for Local & Organic
- Managing Drainage
The Fair will be held from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The registration fee of $50.00 includes access to the hall, all breakout sessions, and lunch.
