These are both fabulous stories about what's beginning a real trend: Midwestern food and beverage as a "real" cuisine that can stand on its own merits. Maybe the days of the green bean casserole and Rhinelander Beer as the highest expression of Midwestern food and drink are passing away.
Bout time, it's time for a Midwestern brandy too.
